A Different Kind of Hope
In many ways, Christians don’t really fit. We order our lives around a particular set of beliefs. We have an unshakable hope in times of distress that others don’t have. We make decisions about our finances that reflect God’s Kingdom purposes. We value things on our calendar that others ignore. We’re “different” in a good way.
The book of 1 Peter is a call to early believers to lean in to that which makes them distinct from the world. It’s a reminder that this world is not our home, but while we are in it we are called to point others to Jesus through our words and actions.
